MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE.

In the absence of the President (Mr P. Blanchfield, junr.), Mr J. Stokes presided at last evening’s meeting of the Management Committee of the West Coast Rugby League. Also present were Messrs L. Hunter, A. Fielding, J. Kidd, B. Ramsay, W. Meates, M. Power, J. Griffen, W. Moore and P. Sweetman (secretary). A vote of condolence was passed to the relations of the late William Cutbush, of Reefton. It was decided that four complimentary tickets' for the Northern Union Cup match on Sunday be forwarded to the West Coast Rugby Union. . . . The New Zealand League advised that, from the names submitted, Mr J. Mathews had been selected as referee of the Inangahua-West Coast Northern Union Cup match. The West Coast delegate on the New Zealand Council, Mr W. Swift, advised that the Auckland League was unable to send a representative team to the West Coast this season (as published in Monday’s “Star”). The Canterbury League wrote stating that the Sydenham Club was desirous of playing the West Coast winners of the Thacker Shield at an early date. It was decided to advise that the West Coast winners would be notified as soon as the competition was finalised. . , The Rapahoe Domain Board wrote stating that it was proposed to carry out further improvements to the Domain, and requested that financial assistance be granted by the League. It was decided to defer the request until next week’s meeting. W. Mann was appointed captain ol the West Least team for Sunday, and R. Clark vice-captain. The selectors, Messrs J. Dodds and A. Beban junr., were spnointed co-msnagers. Mr Kidd moved that the junior competition be continued next Sunday.’ The motion was seconded by Mr Ramsay. , ~ Mr Meates said he thought the junior games should be postponed, to give the players an opportunity ol seeing the representative match. As a matter of fact, he did not think tue junior teams would travel. ' On the motion being put to the meeting, it was lost by one vote. The offer of Mr J. C. Baker, of Greymouth, to donate a shield lor junior competition was accepted with thanks, and it was decided that the trophy be allotted to the junior one round competition. It was also decided to forward a letter ot appreciation to Mr Baker and to invite m/n to recommend conditions tor the shield. It was decided that the full executive meet next week, for the purpose of considering the revised constitution of the League. . Mr Power, for the Junior Advisory Board, reported that Marist had been declared winners of the fourth grade Knock Out competition. FIXTURES FOR SUNDAY. Reoresentative Match: West Coast v Inangahua, at Wingham Park, 2.30 p.m. (J. Mathews). Curtain-raiser: Marist v Brunner fourths, at 1.30 p.mJJ. Earl). REP. TEAM CHANGES.

Owing to an injury, W. Mann is unavailable for the West Coast team on Sunday. The first emergency back, P. Mulcare, now goes into the team, and L. Masters becomes first emergency back.
