BOY KILLED IN BUSH

BELL HILL MILL TRAGEDY.

Advice was received in Greymouth, this afternoon, to the effect that a tragedy occurred at Messrs. Jack Brothers’ sawmill at Bell Hill, this morning. The victim was Allan Bretherton, aged 16 years, and it is. understood that, while at work in the bush, a log rolled on him. He had been employed as a whistle boy for the past seven or eight months. Deceased was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. K. Bretherton, of Kotuku, and there are five other children in the family.
