CLEAN RAGS WANTED.
The Air Force is urgently in need of clean cotton rags for cleaning purposes, and a drive for these will be made on Saturday by the Girl Guides, who will call a+ every house in Blaketown. Cobden, and Greymouth from Cobden Bridge to South Beach mill. The Air Force will pay for cotton, soft woollen and locknit, but harsher materials of any small scraps of any material at all can be disposed of for pulping. Every penny made out of these rags goes into the local Patriotic Fund, and the drive has been most successful in other parts of New Zealand. All you have to do is to bundle up those clean rags (do not bother to wrap them, just tife firmly) and leave at your gate by midday on Saturday, ready for the Guides when they call. -
