WAGE INCREASES. (Rec. 10.55 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 17. Applications by many unions, including the engine-drivers, firemen, and metal trades, for war-time loadings of wages, were granted by the State Industrial Commission. They range from 3/- to 6/- weekly for adult employees, and 1/6 for juniors. RUSSIAN’ANTHEM. SYDNEY, July 17. The Russian National Anthem will in future by a regular feature of national radio programmes in the Commonwealth, it is officially announced.
