ENEMY MINE VICTIMS. SYDNEY, July 14.. The Minister for the Navy, Mr Hughes, has announced that an enemy mine has been brought ashore at a South Australian port to-day. He stated that during the process of demolition of the mine a premature explosion occurred, killing two naval ratings. FEDERAL ELECTION. SYDNEY, July 14. Mr McKell to-day expressed the opinion that a Federal election should new be held. Mr McKell said that a Federal Ministry which is capable of governing only by way of compromise. is most unsatisfactory. The necessity for a really strong Government was greater now than in normal times.
