APPEALS AT GREYMOUTH. The West Coast Man Power Committee, Messrs W. Meldrum (chairman), P. J. McLean and A. Panther, heard appeals in regard to territorial service, at Greymouth, yesterday afternoon. Bray, railway porter (Director of National Service). —Adjourned sine die. subject to recruit joining the E.P.S. (Railways scheme). Frank Meadowcroft, coal miner, of Blackball (Director of. National Service). —Dismissed, It was explained that the reservist was called in the March, 1941 ballot, and after being away from the ccitil mining industry for ten years, had returned to the Blackball mine in June, 1941. When he was drafted for camp an appeal was lodged by his employers, through the Director for National Service.
