PARCELS FOR EGYPT [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Dec. 31. The National Patriotic Fund Board has been advised from Egypt that all parcels sent by the Board were distributed before Christmas. PLANE CRASH WELLINGTON, December 31. Interviewed to-day with regard to the damage to the house struck by the military plane, Mr. Nash mentioned that in Akaroa the Government paid compensation. It is understood that similar action will be taken under similar conditions. MEAT STORES WELLINGTON, December 31. • It was learned to-day that both plans and material are ready for the construction of stores to provide increased space in New Zealand to meet any unusual demands by delays in shipment, referred to by Mr. Fraser on Sunday night. Mr. Nash informed the “Post,” today, that the possible necessity for extra storage was realised some months ago, and as a result of conferences with the interested parties, preparations had been made for the erection of additional space. Materials had been secured, and the work would be pushed, ahead.
