LONDON, December 30. Mr. Eden, Foreign Secretary, had a long conference with M. Maisky (Soviet Ambassador), who expressed personal pleasure at renewing relations with Mr, Eden, says “The Times” diplomatic correspondent. “It is understood M. Maisky and Mr. Eden discussed everyaspect of AngloSoviet relations. Well-informed persons state that Russia is far from being indifferent to the possibility of a German offensive being launched in the Balkans in the Spring. They state that Russia is fearing an extension of the war, because she would be likely to be involved. Russia’s attitude undoubtedly explains her diplomatic support of Bulgaria, and also an improvement in Russo-Turkish relations.
