Mr and Mrs Bert Gunn (Pleasant Point) are the guests of Mr and Mrs G. W. Gunn (Ward Street).

The funeral of the late William FClark took place yesterday afternoon at Karoro Cemetery. The services at the home and graveside were taken by Mr. T. Moseley and Mr. W. O’Neill.

The death occurred at Auckland, as a result of shock from burns, of William, Pryor, second son- of Mr. and Mrs. J. Pryor, formerly residents of Black’s Point, and a nephew of Mr. and Mrs. J. Wearne of Black’s Point. This is the second death in this family within a fortnight.

The death occurred yesterday, at the residence of her daughter, Moana, of Mrs Sarah Burne, aged 68 years. A former resident of Hastings, deceased had lived at Moana for the past five months. She had had a long illness. She is survived by one son, Alexander (Raetihi), and two daughters, Mesdames H. A. Taylor (Moana) and F. G. Saunders (Feilding). Mt William Hall (Hokitika) is a brother. The funeral will take place at Hastings, on Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. James Potts, Murray Street, Greymouth, to-day celebrated their golden wedding, and were the 'recipients of many congratulatory messages. Mr. and Mrs. Potts were married at Nelson Creek on December 30, 1890, and have resided on the West Coast ever since. They have three sons and two daughters living, one son having been, killed in the Great War. There are also 11 grandchildren and four great-grand-children. The anniversary was celebrated with a gathering of the family.

The death occurred at Greymouth, this afternoon, of Mr. Anthony Farrelly, a native of Ireland, aged 82 years. Deceased came to New Zealand as a child, and resided in Otautau, Southland, until about nine months ago, when he came to reside with his son at Te Kinga. He was engaged in farming for the greater part of his life, retiring about 16 years ago. His wife predeceased him in 1922. He is survived by four sons, James and John (Invercargill), Anthony (Te Kinga), and Joseph (Lyttelton); and three daughters, Mesdames E. J. Ellis (Washdyke), J. Roberton (Christchurch), and A. E. Ellis (Riccarton).* The funeral will take place at Otautau.

The death occurred yesterday morning, at Totara Flat, of Mr. Thomas Michael Lees, aged 69 years. A native of Granville, Totara Flat, deceased had spent the whole of his life in that district. He farmed and conducted Lees’ Ferry at Moonlight for 50 years, leaving to reside in Totara Flat about eight years ago. He is survived by his wife (formerly. Miss A. H. Brooks) and two sisters, Mesdames Bullman (Wellington) and Hamer (Totara. Flat), and one brother, Mr. Isaac Lees (Totara Flat). The funeral took place this morning, at the Ahaura Cemetery. Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Munchin’s Church, Totara Flat, by Rev. Father Browne, who also conducted the. service at the graveside.
