DIPHTHERIA SERUM. [BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.] RUGBY, December 15. A new serum for. the treatment of severe forms of diphtheria has been discovered in Dublin, according to an announcement at a meeting of the Royal College of Physicians. The discovery is the result of research work by Dr. O’Meara, a professor at Trinity College. The serum has been tried out, and of 16 cases only one child died. DUCHESS OF WINDSOR. MIAMI, December 15. The Duchess of Windsor, who recently underwent a major dental operation, has suffered a relapsei She has been ordered to bed for a complete rest for 24 hours. It is announced that the Duke and Duchess of Windsor will go to Nassau on Tuesday. SHOPPING. . RUGBY, December 16.
