SABOTAGE IN RUMANIA

FIRES IN OIL REGION. [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] LONDON, December 16. The German radio declared that the British had carried out new acts of sabotage in the Rumanian oilfields. The railway from Ploesti to Bucharest will be interrupted for several days after the dynamiting of a bridge. A fire a few days ago destroyed two large oil tanks, and another mysterious fire occurred in a timber depot in the oil region. At least 51 miners are dead and many are entombed after an explosion 600 feet under the surface in a .mine in Lupeni. The Moscow radio, however, blames the series of acts of sabotage in Rumania on rebellious Iron Guards.
