SOUTHLAND SHOW
CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS. [per press association.] INVERCARGILL, December. 10. The Southland Summer Show was opened to-day in boisterous weather by the Minister for Agriculture (Mr Lee Martin). The general impression of the dairy cattle was chat the Friesians were equal to the best in the Dominion, and that the Jerseys and Ayrshires closely approached the best. Sheep entries were not as numerous as at previous shows; but the quality was excellent. The following championships were awarded to-day:
