[our own correspondent.] REEFTON, December 10. Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Alborn have left for Wellington, where Mr. Alborn is to sit for the oral section of the first class coal mine manager’s examination. Mr. John Palmer of Hastings, and well-known in Reefton, died on Saturday at his home, at the age of 76. Deceased, who was an engineer, was a Denniston resident prior to his removal to the North Island, and he re- ! sided in Reefton for some years.
