MAGISTRATE’S COURT
TO-DAY’S CIVIL SITTING. At to-day’s civil sitting of the Magistrate’s Court at Greymouth, Mr. G. G. Chisholm S.M., gave judgment for plaintiff by default, with costs, in each of the following cases:—R. F. Woodhouse v. L. A. Hales £2/17/6, costs £ 1/3/6; Tim Sinnott v. D. Johnston £3/0/6; costs £l/4/6; same v. A. Harriett £2/19/-, costs £l/8/6; J. A. Dowell v. Percy O’Brien £3 15/-, costs £l/5/6; Stratford, Blair and Co., Ltd. v. J. Johnson £3/9/4, costs £l/5/6.
JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. On a judgment summons, J. H. McMillan was ordered to pay forthwith to the North Beach Crushed Metal and' Shingle Co., Ltd., the sum of £2 1/-, in default three days’ imprisonment. W. H. Batchelor was ordered to pay forthwith to the Grey Electric. Power Board the sum of £6/13/-, with 15/6 costs, in default seven days’ imprisonment, warrant to be suspended for 14 days. A. E. Fisher was ordered to pay to Dresswell, the sum of £2/5/-, in default three days’ imprisonment, warrant to be suspended as long as debtor pays £ 1 per week, with the first payment on December 17. W. McGrath was ordered to pay to John Stewart the sum of £l6/18/2, with £ 1/1/- costs, in default 17 days imprisonment, warrant to be suspended as long as debtor pays £1 per week, with the first payment on December 17. , , . +„ Richard Dense was ordered to pay to Thomas McGrath the sum of £l3/12/8 with £l/1/- costs, in default 14 days imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended as long as debtor pays £1 per week, with the first payment on December 17.
