AUSTRALIAN LABOUR
COMPROMISE OPPOSED. [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] ' (Recd. Dec. 10, Noon). SYDNEY, December 10. A conference of presidents and secretaries of branches of the Official Labour Party unanimously condemned the Federal Parliamentary Labour Party’s decision to compromise with the Federal Government on the Budget. The decision is regarded as a vote of censure on Mr. Curtin. “The action of the caucus has given the Menzies Government another lease of life, and will enable it to continue its vicious attacks on the standard of living of the people of this country,” read the resolution carried by the delegates. NO NATIONAL GOVT. CANBERRA, December 10. Mr. Curtain definitely pronounced himself against a National Government. He said that, if a National Government were formed, there would be less real national unity, although Parliamentary unity might appear to be greater.
