PATROL ACTIVITY. [BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.] RUGBY, December 6. A Cairo communique states: There is no change in the situation in the Western Desert. In the Gallabat area of the Sudan, our fighting patrols attacked and drove off an enemy machine-gun post, in a position east of Gallabat. The enemy sustained casualties, leaving one dead, and a quantity of arms and equipment in our hands. Our patrols are also active in the Kassala sector, while there has also been considerable patrol activity on the Kenya front. The Air Ministry News. Service states: In Italian East Africa, aircraft of the Rhodesian squadron attacked enemy motor transport concentrations north of Kassala. Enemy positions and motor transport were heavily machine-gunned by British aircraft.
