GOLF TOURNAMENT

FOR HEALTH CAMP FUNDS On Sunday next the Greymouth Golf Club will hold an all-day tournament for women and men, in aid of the funds for the Children’s Health Camp. Last year - a similar tournament was held, which netted £23 and this, with the Government subsidy, has enabled the Grey District Executive Committee to send ten extra children this year from Grey District to the health camp at Rangiora. As it is desired that no expense be incurred in connection with the tournament, members and friends of the Club have been approached and so far trophies have been donated by the following:—Messrs S. Stewart, Griffen & Smith, E. N. Taylor, D. McCarthy, J. Hassall, F. Chunn, Ashby Bergh, G. Harker, Smith and Smith, C. G. Moore, Westland Breweries, and Mrs. Bradshaw. In addition to a Medal round, in the morning and a four-ball bogey in the afternoon, numerous novelty competitions will be held and it is hoped that the sum obtained last year will be exceeded.
