ANOTHER LOSS.
(Recd. Dec. 3, 12.5 p.m.). LONDON, December 2. The Admiralty has announced that H.M.S. Sturdy has been lost. She ran ashore on the Scottish coast, in thick weather. Five ratings were lost. ENEMY LOSSES LONDON, December 1. During the last three days British naval forces have sunk 26,000 tons of enemy shipping in Dutch waters. GERMAN FREIGHTERS (Recd. December 3, 1.30 p.m.) COQUIMBO (Chile), Dec. 2. The German merchantman, Portland, sailed last night for an unannounced destination. HAVANA, December 2. The Ida Wald and Rhein, apparently trying to reach a Cuban port, are reported to be desperately attempting to communicate with Mexican radio stations, saying that warships 1 are pursuing them.
