MEXICAN DISSENSIONS
COMMUNISTS RAIDED [BY CABLE. —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] MEXICO CITY, November 30. The Mexican police claim that plotters planned to assassinate the President-elect (General Manuel Camacho) to-morrow during his inauguration as President in the presence of the official representative of the United States. Federal soldiers raided the Communist headquarters, and an- officer was killed and at least two others were injured. Almost simultaneously police in another section of the capital were engaged in a fierce battle while attempting to search a house where they suspected a second subversive group was meeting. It is reported that two were killed and two wounded in this incident. PRESIDENT INSTALLED. (Recd. December 2, 11.20 a.m.) MEXICO CITY, December 1. Senor Avila Camacho was inaugurated as President, to-day. He pledged adhesion to the Panama ideals. bv + announced that Mexico would build her own naval bases, thus contributing to Continental defence, and maintaining her dignity and sovereignty.
