LEAGUE FOOTBALL

TO-MORROW’S MATCHES. Both of the senior Rugby League fixtures to-morrow will be played in the country and chief interest will be taken in the match at Blackball, where Runanga and Blackball, who drew last week, will replay the semi-final of the Knock-but competition. The game between these two teams at Runanga last Sunday provided some excellent football, despite adverse conditions, and tomorrow’s replay promises to be one of the keenest club games of the season, few being willing to forecast the result. The Bradshaw Cup competition will be continued at the Taylorville Domain, where Marist will meet Brunner. The Brunner team’s unexpected success last Sunday against Ngahere, conquerors of Marist, has increased interest in the match, which should attract a large attendance. Only one junior match will be played, providing a game for Wingham Park, where Marist juniors will defend the Challenge Shield against Blackball.
