General Situation: An anti-cyclone is centred to the north of New Zealand, and an active depression is approaching across the south Tasman Sea Forecast: Fresh to strong north to north-west winds, reaching gale force in places. A' south-westerly change extending to-morrow from the south. Weather unsettled, with intermittent rain. Temperatures cooler to-mor-row. Seas becoming rough.
