(Received July 16, 12.25 p.m.) WASHINGTON, July 15. Dr. Paul Siple, of the Byrd Expedition, reports by radio that he is preparing to photograph the Aurora Australis, in order to obtain new data on colour intensity and height, which will be valuable in studying the upper atmosphere’s electrical and radio characteristics.
