EXPEDITIONARY FORCE
GREYMOUTH ENLISTMENTS. There have been nine further enlistments in the Expeditionary Force, at Greymouth, raising the district total to 1027. Two of the,names were not available for publication and the others were as follow: — G. H. Ogilvie S. G. Mitchell ’ H. M. O’Grady F. N. Te Maru A. H. Mandeno E. N. McNabb E. J. Reiter. A large number of recruits were medically examined at Greymouth to-day, but the results of the examinations, by two Boards, were not available when the “Star” went to press. GREYMOUTH PATRIOTIC FUND.

BLAKETOWN COMMITTEE. A meeting held in the Citizens’ Hall, Blaketown, last evening, for the purpose of forming a Patriotic Committee, was attended by eight men and 10 women, there being a large number of apologies for absence. Mr. W. Herring was voted to the chair, and introduced the Mayor- (Mr. F. A. Kitchingham), who explained that Blaketown and Cobden would unite for the purpose of raising funds, and would have a shop week between them. It was decided that a committee be formed. On the motion of Mrs. Sheard, seconded by Mrs. Williams, Mr. Herring was appointed chairman. On the motion of Mr. McGirr, seconded by Mr. Kelly, Mr. Moreland was' appointed secretary. It was decided that all present at the meeting be members of the committee, with power to add. Mr. Herring was appointed to represent Blaketown on the Greymouth Patriotic Committee.
