IKAMATUA NOTES

[OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] The February Women’s Institute meeting was presided over by Mrs. Mirfln. There was a fair attendance. A competition, crochet edging, was won by Mrs. Palmer, with Mrs. Purvis gaining second place. A curio afternoon brought forward some good articles, one being a head of a Maori axe.

The hostesses’ competition resulted: Mrs. M. Richards 1, Mrs. Mirfln 2. Afternoon tea was served round a cheery fife by the hostesses Mesdames August and Leach.
