[PEB PEESS ASSOCIATION.] FOUND GASSED. WELLINGTON, February 12. The body of Elwyn John Adams, married, aged 31, was found to-day at 17 the Esplanade, Petone. His head was in a gas oven. ACCOUNTANT SHOT WELLINGTON, February 12. Robert Paul, an accountant, aged 24, was found in a house at Miromiro Road. Normandale, to-day, with head injuries from a shot-gun discharged in' his mouth. The gun was beside him. He died on the way to hospital GIRL DEAD IN BATH. WELLINGTON, February 12. Grace Rosalie Burch, aged 13, was found dead in a bath at her home at 40 Happy Valley Road on Saturday evening. ’ When she was found by her father, who had to break open the bathroom door, she was on her knees with her face under the water. The girl is understood to have enpoyed perfect health.

BOY’S OFFENCES TIMARU, February 12.

Forgery, breaking and entering, theft, atempred theft, and the unlawful conversion of a car were charges brought against a boy, who appeared for sentences at a sitting of the Children’s Court to-day before Mr. H. Morgan, S.M. The Magistrate warned the boy that had he been an adult and been brought, before the Supreme Court he could have been declared an habitual criminal.

The boy was placed under the supervision of the Child Welfare Officer for two years, and ordered to come up for sentence on the charges of forgery and unlawful conversion if called on within a year, and to make restitution of £2O/13/11 within year.

YOUTHS’ THEFTS NELSON, February 12. Facing 10 charges, including breaking, entering and theft ay Napier, Blenheim, and Nelson, Raymond Stanley Hill, aged 18 years, of Hastings, and Clarence Henry Spencer, of Auckland, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court. They pleaded guilty to all the. charges and were committed for sentence at Auckland. The charges involved the theft of money and goods valued at £59, and included breaking and entering a chemist’s shop, a petrol station, a foundry, and the Regent Theatre at Napier His Majesty’s Theatre at Blenheim, and three business houses in Nelson. They were also charged with the theft of a car valued at £254 in Auckland, on which charge they were remanded to Auckland.
