THEFT ALLEGED
GREYMOUTH BAND’S FUNDS [PEP. PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, December 9. “There are several- other charges to be preferred," said Detective-Ser-geant F. Sinclair in the Magistrate’s Court this morning, when Francis James Sweetman, 33, a lorry-driver, of Burnham Military Camp, appeared on a charge of stealing at Greymouth, on July 19, .£23/7/11, the property of the Greymouth Municipal Band Incorporated. Detective-Sergeant Sinclair’s application for a remand until Thursday next was granted by Mr. H. A. Young, S.M. In answer to the S.M. Sweetman said that he could not find bail.
