Gabriella, Wellington, early. ‘ SHIPPING NOTES. Kaimiro sailed this morning, for Wellington. Rata sailed this morning for New Plymouth and Picton. After discharge at Picton, she will return to Grey mouth, being due on Wednesday evening, to load for Dargaville and Nelson. Titoki is to sail at seven o’clock this evening, with coal for Tarakohe. Korowai is loading for Miramar and Wellington, and is to sail early next week. Hokitika is expected to leave Wellington this afternoon with cargo for Greymouth and Hokitika, being due here on Monday. Kartigi left Auckland at 11 o’clock last night with cargo for Greymouth, via Portland and Wellington, and: is due next Friday, to load for Auckland. Puriri is due next Saturday, to load for Tarakohe and Nelson. Poolta is expected on December 18, from Lyttelton, to load for Napier and Gisborne. Gabriella is due about December 18 or 20, to load for Wellington. LYTTELTON-WELLINGTON. Several extra trips, including daylight trips and Sunday night sailings, will be run in the steamer express service between Lyttelton and Wellington during the Christmas and New Year holidays. The Rahgatira will make daylight trips from Lyttelton on December 21, 22 and 23, and on January 2, on the arrival of special trains leaving Christ church at 7.35 a.m. The Rangatira will also leave Lyttelton for Wellington on the Sunday nights of December 24 and January 7, on the arrival of the 7.37 p.m. train from Christchurch.
Corresponding daylight trips and Sunday night sailings will be made by the AVahine from Wellington to Lyttelton. Bookings for the extra trips are already heavy.
