TIMBER WORKERS’ ELECTION
MR. J. DOYLE SUCCESSFUL. The results of the annual election of officers for the Westland Branch of the New Zealand Timber Workers’ Union are announced by the Returning Officer (Mr. E. Elley). Mr. J. Doyle has been elected vice-president, defeating Mr. S. Gladstone by ten votes. For positions of Executive members for the district south of Greymouth, the successful candidates were Messrs D. Nicol and J. Holmes. The details of the voting at the various mills are as follow: VICE-PRESIpENT.
