Mrs. Mason presided at the monthly meeting of the Blackball AVomen’s Institute., Mrs. Collins read the aspirations The President gave an account of her interview with Mr. P. C. AVebb in regard to the tar-sealing of the Main Road, and satisfaction with his favourable reply, that there was every prospect of the work being done, was expressed by members. The Golden Thread talk, “Outback in Australia,” was given by Mrs. Meikle. After some discussion - in regard to the birthday party to be held on November 21,. a talk on her trip to California was given by Mrs. Colquohoun. Supper was served by the hostesses, and the singing of the AVomen’s Institute song concluded the meeting..
