TRIAL IN SWITZERLAND. [BY CABLE —PBESS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] GENEVA, November 1. An espionage trial has begun in Switzerland, in which Madame Virginia Rota is accused of trying to cross the Swiss frontier with drawings of Swiss anti-aircraft guns and other secrets. Roger Joel, a munitions factory draughtsman, is alleged to have admitted giving documents to Madame Rota. Another man, Paul Rochat, and his wife are also accused.
