ALLIES’ DETERMINATION [by CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] (Recd. October 20. 1.30 p.m.) PARIS, October 19. The Minister of Merchant Marine, is a speech, said: The Allies will carry out the blockade of Germany with the utmost vigor. This may cause difficulties and privations to neutrals. We regret this, but the object is to make Germany realise her international dependence in the economic field, and to convince her people that their happiness can only be realised by peace.
