MINISTERIAL VISIT
WEST COAST ITINERARY Mr. J. O’Brien, M.P., received advice to-day, that Mr. P. C. Webb, Minister of Mines, and Mi. R. Semple, Minister of Public Works and Transport, will visit the West Coast at the end of this month. In the course of their visit, the Ministers will officially open the new Strongman State colliery, al the Niue-Mik 1 , the ceremony taking place at 11 a.m., on Tuesday. October 31. The Ministerial party will leave Wellington on Wednesday, October 25, arriving in Westport on the evening of October 26. They will leave West port for Grey mon th at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3.1, opening the Strongman Colliery, en route. They will remain that evening at Greymouth, and will leave for Hokitika on Wednesday, November 1, staying at Hokitika, that evening. They will leave Hokitika on return to Wellington, on Thursday, November 2, possibly via Greymouth. Only important deputations will lie received by the Ministers on. their visit to YVestland. and Mr. O’Brien requests that local bodies or other organisations desirous of placing important, matters before either of the Ministers, should communicate with him before to-morrow evening.
