COBDEN NOTES
[OUK OWN CORRESPONDENT.] A combined meeting of the Convent and State School Committees was held in the schoolroom last evening. Mr R. Roper presided over the following: — ! Messrs E. Cressey, M. Minehan, J. I Haddock, R. Girvin, G. Williams, H R. Barrett, R. .Phillips, B. Roper (jun.), R. Barlow and J. Scorgie. The last-named, representing (he central transport committee of emergency precautions, outlined the scheme as set out by this committee. After some discussion it was resolved that those present form a committee, with power to add', to distribute forms and collect same. The following distributors were appointed:—Bridge to Taylor Street, Messrs G. Williams and 11. R. Barrett; Taylor to Newcastle Street, Messrs ,1. Haddock and RBarlow; Newcastle Street to Blackett Street, Messrs Scorgie and B Roper; Blackett Street to Hall Street, Messrs R. Phillips and E. Cressey; Hall Street to Beach, Messrs R. Roper and M. Minehan.
