BY PLACID WATERS. — Close to the riverfront at Regensburg stands the Cathedral of St. Peter, a Gothic masterpiece. The Cathedral is a large structure with three interior sections separated by heavy columns. The building was begun in the thirteenth century and completed in 1524 but the top portions of the towers were not considered until during 1859-1869.
