Australia’s shell production was to be doubled, and the delivery of Wirraway planes will be expedited, so that soon a complete squadron would be equipped with new aircraft every three weeks. A Melbourne message stated that the expansion of all arms of the fighting services was considered by the War Cabinet, but Mr. Menzies said that the Government’s decisions could not be announced yet.
