COBDEN CLUB’S OPENING. Under ideal, conditions, the Cobden Tennis Club’s season was officially opened on Saturday afternoon, there being a large attendance of members and representatives of other clubs. In declaring the season open, the President (Mr A- L. Abbie) expdessed pleasure at the number of new members and welcomed them to the club, while wishing all members an enjoyable season on the courts." During the afternoon, a ’ Yankee tournament was held, the winners being E. Gilmour and Mrs T. Shaw. Afternoon tea was served by the women’s committee. RUNANGA CLUB.
