XVctk on her sister ship, the Queen Elizabeth, of 55.000 tons, which . is within a few months of completion, has been suspended, and the vessel will remain indefinitely in her present position in Britain. information of the suspension of the super-liner services on the Atlantic was given to-day, by Mr. H. Howard, representative .in Australia of the Canard-White Star Line. He was a through passenger on the Monterey, from Sydney, having been recalled to headquarters owing to the curtailment of the company’s activities.
