The “Daily Telegraph" says that ail military leave, at every garrison and artillery station in New South Wales, has been suspended until further notice. by special order. WAGES TAX INCREASED. SYDNEY. Atigusr 21. In the New South Wales Legislative Assembly, the Treasurer, Mr Richardson, introduced -,i Bill to-day to increase the wages tax. The Bill is also to establish a special fund for u.'nmifiloynmiil relief. Mr Richardson explained that fin? Government was compelled to obtain additional revenue. owing to an adverse season, and low prices for primary products. He said the wages tax increase would become operative on September 1.
