OFFENCES AGAINST STATE
PROCLAMATIONS IN EIRE

DUBLIN. August 23.
Two proclamations were issued by the Eire Government yesterday, under the Offences Against the State Act. They give the Government the power to establish military and civil courts, without juries, for the trial of persons connected with treasonable activities.
They also enable the Government to intern suspects without trial.
