REVALUATION RUMOUR DENIED

WELLINGTON, July 19.
“The Government has never thought of it, not even for two minutes,” said Mr. Savage, commenting on the suggestion emanating from Auckland that a revaluation of the Reserve Bank’s gold holdings was expected during the next few months. ■ , “It might be expedient, in some circumstances, and of course it was done in England, but we have not thought about it. We have much more important things to do,” he added.
