Late to-night the Chatham Islands radio station reported that the patrdls had returned at 9 o’clock' to-night, there being no sign of-tllelyacht Faith or the crew. The captain of the trawler South Sea advised' further that he intended sending out five launches tomorrow morning to continue the search.

The Faith, which is owneil by Mr. W. Marsh, of Christchurch, has 'been fishing at the islands for some months. Those aboard when she parted company with the South Sea were Mr. Marsh, his brother, 1 Mr. J. Marsh, and Mr. Roy Hough, a Chatham Islander.

The Faith was built in Christchurch by Mr. Marsh, and early this year made a trip from Lyttelton to the islands and back. She is a stoutlybuilt seagoing craft of similar design to the famous Teddy, in which Earling Tambs cruised from Norway to Auckland.
