BOESCH DEFEATS CLARKE

The most willing and .determined wrestling bout seen in Wellington this season ended with Paul Boesch defeating Jim Clarke to-night, on points, the falls being even. Clarke, who introduced the. element, of lawlessness, bent Boesch backwards over his knee in a. back-breaker during the, third I round, and obtained a. submission fail. I Boesch, in the seventh round, dropkicked, dumped, and pinned Clarke. In the last round he attacked Clarke vigoicusly with drop-kicks, but was unable. io pin him. I The Town Hall was packed, and the! crowd, its sympathies alienated by Clarke’s repeated infringements, bar-one-sidedly for Boesch, whose success was received with frenzied acclamation. No" previous'boil t this season has so excited the onlookers.
KIRCH AID YER DEFEATS LEVER. DUNEDIN, June 19. Before, a fair crowd in the Town Hall to-night, Dick Lever (17s( 51b) made his first, appearance in New Zealand. and was defeated, by Rollend i Kirchmeyer (17st. 101 b > by two falls to none. A penalty fall was awarded against Le.ver for rabbit punching in the. sixth round, and he submitted to the python clinch in the seventh. Lever woi ked hard from beginning to end. and proved himself a typo of wrestler who will always keep the crowd interested. tie also kept ihe referee very busy.
