Sentences varying from eight to fifteen years’ hard labour were imposed upon six men, at a court-mar-tial in connection with the death of Mr Monck-Mason, formerly British Consul at Mosul. Sentence of- death on two lads was commuted to fifteen ■■ years’ hard labour, on the ground of their youth
