FIRE ON ARK ROYAL
NINE PLANES DESTROYED. [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] (Recd. April 17. 8.45 a.m.). LONDON, April 16. It is revealed that nine planes were destroyed on March 25, by a fire in the hangars on H.M.S. Ark Royal, while returning to Portsmouth from Gibraltar, after the Spring manoeuvres. A Court of Inquiry was held, but the result was not disclosed.
