SHIPPING NOTES. Totara arrived yesterday afternoon from Picton, but is idle to-day on account of rain'. Her departure forWellington, with coal is indefinite. Hokitika arrived yesterday with cargo from Wellington, via Tarakohe. After discharge, when the weather moderates, she will proceed to Hokitika. Alexander arrived early this morning, from Wellington, and will load coal for Nelson when conditions permit. Gabriella arrived early this morning from Wellington, and will load coal for return, when weather conditions moderate. Karu is still idle, on account of rain, and her departure for Petone and Wellington is indefinite. Puriri has been delayed by rain and will sail early for Picton and Npjv Plymouth. She is to return on Wednesday, to load timber for Onehunga and Port Waikato. Titoki is due on Monday, from Nelson, to load coal for Tarakohe. Omana is due on March 23, to load timber for Melbourne and Adelaide. . A Union Company vessel is due about April 11, to load timber for Sydney and Newcastle. AT OTHER PORTS. LONDON, March 9.
