Matthew Flinders sailed early this morning, for Sydney, with timber. Puriri arrived this morning, from Wanganui, to load coal for Picton and New Plymouth. She is to return on March 14, to load timber for Onehunga and Port Waikato. Karu is idle to-day owing to rain, but is expected to sail at midnight tomorrow, for Petone and Wellington. Gabriella, in ballast, replacing Poolta, is due at midnight to-night, to load for Wellington. Totara. is due to-day, from Picton, to load for Wellington. Omana is due on March 23, to load timber for Melbourne and Adelaide. . A Union Company vessel is due about April 11, to load timber for Sydney and Newcastle. Alexander left Wellington at 6 p.m., yesterday, and is due to-morrow morning, to load coal for Nelson. She sails to-morrow evening.
Hokitika is due this afternoon, from Tarakohe, and after discharge will sail for Hokitika.
