SENIOR APPOINTMENTS

[PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.]

WELLINGTON, February 6. Senior appointments in the Treasury Department, following the promotion of the assistant-secretary and accountant, Mr. B. C. Ashwin, to the position of Secretary to the Treasury, were announced to-day.

The second assistant secretary and solicitor to the Treasury, Mr. G.' G. Rose, is appointed assistant secretary and Treasury solicitor.

The chief investigating officer, Mr. E. L. Greensmith, is appointed second assistant secretary. The assistant accountant, Dr. A. R. F. Mackay, is appointed accountant.

Mr. R. M. Sunley, at present attached to the High Commissioner’s Office as finance officer, will return to New Zealand to take the position of assistant accountant on completion in the near future fo his term of service in London.

Mr. C. J. R. Atkin, investigating officer, is appointed chief investigating officer.
