PALESTINE CONFERENCES

ARRANGEMENTS OUTLINED

(BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS]

RUGBY, February 3

The Palestine conferences in London will be conducted in two series. of discussions, one between the 1 British Government representatives and the Palestine Arab delegation and delegations from neighbouring Arab States, and tire other between the British and Jewish delegates. The discussions will proceed independently, but, so far as is practicable, they will be kept parallel. Mr Chamberlain, at the opening of the sessions, will welcome each set of delegates, who from the outset will meet separately. It is known that the British Government. will in no way restrict the scope of the discussions. It is bound by its obligations under the mandate, but it will not. prevent discussion on either the abolition or amendment of the mandate, and a full and frank discussion of the whole subject is in prospect.
