THIEVES SENTENCED. SYDNEY, February 4

Allan Reynolds, aged 19, and James Wilkinson, aged 25, labourers, who pleaded' guilty to having assaulted Pastor Anderson( on December 14), and having robbed him of a motorcar, suitcase and' £l, were sentenced to three years’ and two years’ imprisonment respectively at Newcastle.

DALFRAM DEPARTS SYDNEY, February 3.

DEFENCE PLANS. DEVONPORT. February 4

Mr Lyons announced that extensive plans had been completed by the Commonwealth Government, to ensure prompt delivery of defence supplies, and the immediate mobilisation of industry in an emergency. 'I he Industrial'Advisory Panel, appointed last year, would undertake immediately a complete review of the supply and works aspect of the defence programme.
