MEXICAN OIL BARTER
NEWSPRINT AND RAYON [by CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] MEXICO CITY. September (>. The Mexican Government’s petroleum administration has completed its first direct barter deal, with Germany. Oil from the expropriated fields will be shipped to Hamburg, in exchange for newsprint. Mexican agents in Italy are arranging to barter oil for rayon. The Mexican purchases from the United States during the month o£ July amounted to only three million dollars. as compared with ten million dollars worth purchased during July last year.
